Where are their values? Did they lose them somewhere along the way? Or perhaps they fooled the voters all along?
And what about this planet of war? The Planet Earth?
A few years ago, we visited Jamaica right at the beginning of the first Gulf War. Even though we were at war, I didn't feel discouraged. I believed we were surely doing the right thing for our country and for the world. It was quiet in Jamaica at that time. Quiet because some people worried and did not want to travel. I felt safe traveling out of the country then. Not so much now.
In 2006, I created a panel for the Tapestry for Peace project in Denver, Colorado. The thought was that this impressive art work of dozens of tapestries would travel around the world in the promotion of peace. That thought crumbled and collapsed. The project remains stored in Denver and may never realize the goal of its inventor.
For 2013, I once again long for peace and love. I once again pray that the Tapestry for Peace will travel the world creating hope for all people.
Is it possible? I do not know...

I appreciate your thoughts.
Are you aware of the Israeli graphic designer who started a "we heart symbol (love) you Iran" project via Facebook? A wonderful video with him speaking is on You Tube. In the 15 minute video, he discusses how he got started. It may help you get your Tapestry of Peace on the road!
Actually, there is a group in Denver, where all the many different panels were assembled and are now stored, that is responsible for the project. Hopefully, they will get this off the ground again. The originator of the project who had the vision on a highway in Florida died suddenly in 2005. Her family helped with the original showing of the panels in 2006.
I hope we do achieve some form of peace and prosperity in our country and the rest of the world in 2013. At the very least, improve over the past year.
